Jacob Szloch - Clinical Psychologist

I am a Clinical Psychologist that was raised in country NSW. I completed my undergraduate at the University of Wollongong, then moved to Sydney to pursue my Masters in Clinical Psychology at the University of Technology Sydney. I have now lived in Sydney for 5 years and have fallen in love with the city.

I am also currently pursuing my doctorate with the University of Sydney in the clinical impacts of cyber identity theft and scams, to help build a better understanding of how to support victims of these crimes. I recently presented a poster at the CyPsy27 conference in Sydney.

I utilise Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to address a wide range of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, substance use, sleep disorders, and self-esteem issues. I also utilises elements from Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to help people meet their goals.

Wattle is a young Australian Cobberdog from Queensland. Cobberdogs are a unique breed which boast amazing therapeutic qualities such as a calm temperament and strong eye contact. He is non-shedding and hypoallergenic, so your clothes will remain all clean.

Wattle enjoys nothing more than being able to curl up next to someone in distress and support them. He will happily lay next to you, or if you feel like you need space, he can happily sit away from you or not be in the room at all.

In his spare time, Wattle enjoys swims at the beach and playing with his friends in the park.

  • Strong eye contact

  • Being amazing to pat

  • Hitting his KPI’s (Key Puddle Inspections)

  • Boofing at people on the street outside (how dare they)
