My name is Jacob, and I am a Clinical Psychologist in Sydney. Alongside Wattle, an inspiring Animal-Assisted Therapy dog, we are Heart and Hound Psychology.
We understand that sometimes we need help to push ourselves out of our comfort zones and get to where we want to be. My approach to therapy is to make it a unique experience for your needs and to meet you where you are at.
I have extensive experience working with people from a vast array of backgrounds experiencing varying mental health problems. If you are experiencing something that you are seeking to work on, don’t hesitate to reach out and see if we can help.
My therapy style
You are the expert of your own life, and my role is to provide the compassionate guidance and evidence-based tools you need to navigate life's challenges and cultivate lasting wellbeing.
I understand that seeking help can sometimes feel uncomfortable, which is why I seek to ensure therapy is as friendly and approachable as possible. I also believe in making sure it is deeply person-centred, meaning that I tailor the therapeutic strategies to your unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
My aim is to empower you to gain clarity, build resilience, and develop the skills needed to lead a more fulfilling and meaningful life. We're committed to creating a safe, confidential, and supportive space where you feel truly seen and understood.
Wattle is currently undergoing therapy dog training and in the future we will seek to integrate the comforting qualities that a dog can provide into a clinical psychology context.

All the benefits of individual psychology sessions from the convenience of your home. Telehealth sessions allow for more flexibility for you to have access to a clinical psychologist from your home.

Animal-Assisted Therapy (Coming soon)
Individual psychology sessions with the added benefit of a therapy animal to mediate the session. The calming presence and unconditional acceptance offered by animals can enhance engagement, reduce stress, and promote emotional regulation. AAT provides a unique and supportive environment for clients to explore challenges, build social skills, and foster a deeper sense of connection and self-worth.
