Heart and Hound - Clinical Psychology

Welcome!

My name is Jacob, and I am a Clinical Psychologist based in Sydney. Alongside Wattle, an inspiring Animal-Assisted Therapy dog, we are Heart and Hound Psychology. We aim to integrate the unique and comforting qualities that a dog can provide into a clinical psychology context. We understand that many people love dogs and their soothing presence, but do not have access to them in their daily lives.

Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT)

Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) is a well-researched field of psychology that demonstrates how animals can provide a unique and supportive approach to mental wellness. During sessions, our Australian Cobberdog, Wattle, provides a calming presence that can ease anxiety and promote relaxation. AAT still involves all traditional components of a session with a Clinical Psychologist.

Currently, Wattle is still in the process of training and will not be present in sessions until training is complete. You are still welcome to book and commence a session in the meantime.
